Energy prices are high, and there is ever growing worry of global warming, meaning there’s no better time to install solar power.

With a Fresh Electrical solar system, you will receive a full solar panel design specific to your building’s roof, along with a complete report on your specific system. All systems are installed by a fully qualified engineer then commissioned and tested by the electrical team to ensure it is MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) compliant. Once complete you’ll receive a handover pack with manuals, warranty information and maintenance advice.

Fresh Electrical Solar are covered by HIES, the Home Insulation and Energy Systems Quality Assured Contractors Scheme, a strict accreditation process that ensures high-quality is always maintained.

What is a solar PV system?

Solar panel electricity systems, are also known as photovoltaics (PV), capture the suns energy using photovoltaic cells. These cells don’t need direct sunlight to work – they can still generate electricity on a cloudy day. The cells convert the sunlight into electricity, which can be used to run household appliances, lighting and EV chargers.

Fox ESS PV monitoring system

The Fox Cloud monitoring system allows you to view your system performance and generation using a mobile app. You can also use the web-based monitoring for more in depth data on your system, generation and performance. This allows you to receive and monitor in real time the data of your solar system on your smartphone or computer from anywhere.

Bird Netting:

Bird netting serves as a protective barrier for solar panels, preventing birds and other wildlife from nesting or roosting underneath them. 

By installing bird netting, you safeguard your solar panel array against potential damage caused by nesting materials, bird droppings, or pecking, which could compromise the panels' efficiency and lifespan. 

This netting acts as a deterrent, ensuring the panels remain clear of obstructions and maintaining their optimal performance while also minimizing maintenance needs.

ORDERING PROCESS

1) Order your solar panel system based on the recommended package size for your building generated by the Solar Panel Configurator

2) You will be contacted by Fresh Solar to confirm your property address, request a copy of a recent energy bill

3)  A qualified surveyor will attend your property to complete a technical survey within 10 business days upon receiving the above information

4) Once the survey is completed, the information will be passed to our design team who will create a bespoke solar PV design for your property within 10 days of completion of the technical survey. Any additional costs will be discussed and agreed at this stage

5) If a revision to the order is required Fresh Solar will advise on which system would be best suited to your property to order. You have the option to cancel your order or re-order the correct solar package

6) Once the correct size system and design are confirmed alongside any additional costs (if required), an installation date will be booked within 30 business days upon acceptance of the design. If the system is above 3.68kW an application will be made to the relevant Distribution Network Operator for connection. Please note; in some instances this can take up to 60 business days and will therefore delay installation until acceptance has been received

7) Where necessary scaffolding will be erected prior to the installation

8) Installation of the panel mounting system and panels will be completed, the inverter and battery (if applicable) will be installed by MCS qualified electricians, the system will be commissioned and tested by the electrical team once installation is complete

9) A handover pack will be prepared and issued within 14 business days of commissioning

The contract will only be concluded after the survey has been completed and the member confirms they wish to proceed by signing the contract with Fresh Electrical. The contract for supply and installation of the solar panels is with Fresh Electrical, not Costco. Costco will take the payment from the member and the full funds will be held in a ‘ring-fenced’ account until a job completion form is signed by the member. Costco will only receive a commission paid by Fresh Electrical Solar.
