Set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, you will both be welcomed with Champagne before your private session gets underway. Jean-Christophe will run through a series of fascinating interactive demonstrations, with hands-on techniques and culinary insights throughout. With delicious food the order of the day, you’ll be tasting as you go, with a Masterclass certificate to take home.

What happens on the day?

You will be welcomed with Champagne on arrival at the Novelli Academy Cookery School.

You’ll meet Jean-Christophe before heading to the kitchen for your private experience. Enjoy a day of demonstrations, hands-on cooking, and tasting.

Participant guidelines

• Minimum age: 18
• Participants must be able to stand up for a reasonable length of time
• Unfortunately there is no disabled access on site as it has not been possible to modify the 14th century listed building
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary

Availability

Courses are held Tuesday to Friday throughout the year.

We recommend you book at least eight weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available.  All bookings are subject to availability.

Please allow up to 4 hours for the experience. Courses usually start at 11.00 and finish at 15.00 - kindly note these timings are approximate and subject to change. Doors open approximately 30 minutes prior to the start time – it is requested that customers do not arrive any earlier than this so the Academy team can complete their preparations.

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable, casual clothing.

Participants will be provided with aprons for use during the course.

Additional information

Participants are advised to have a good breakfast prior to the experience. Food is included.

You will need to advise of any food allergies or special requirements at the time of booking. Each participant will be provided with the recipes from the course by email.

Kindly note that once a date has been booked for this experience under no circumstances can it be changed or cancelled.

The Academy will require you to send them your voucher to confirm your booking. We recommend you keep a record of your voucher number and use Special Delivery, as your voucher is a valuable document which cannot be replaced if lost.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
