Cut, dip and decorate your own chocolate creations with this Original Chocolate Making Workshop, in London, Brighton or Manchester. Together you’ll learn new chocolate crafting skills and gain knowledge which you can later use to impress your friends and family at home.
Your chocolatier will start the class off by providing an interesting insight into the history and process of chocolate, explaining each step from cocoa bean to bar. You can enjoy the taste of a variety of different quality and exotically flavoured chocolate. The two of you will create a giant chocolate button and your chocolatier will demonstrate how to make a dark chocolate ganache and you will then have the opportunity to make your own. You should leave with lots of tasty handmade treats - providing you don’t eat them all during your class.
Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 8 (under 16s must be accompanied by a full paying adult)
- Disabled access is available with prior notice, if you require this facility then please advise at the time of booking (one person is able to accompany a disabled participant without charge)
- Vegetarians/Vegans can be catered for on request
- You should be of reasonable health and level of fitness as some walking may be involved

What happens on the day?
On arrival at your chosen location, you will be met by your guide for the day and introduced to your group. You’ll pop your apron on and learn a short history on the process of creating chocolate, from bean to bar.
You’ll sample cocoa in its natural state and try a selection of different quality and exotically flavoured chocolate. You’ll move on to melting and cooling, to create a giant chocolate button to decorate using techniques learned from the chocolatier. After which, you will set about decorating gooey fudge with toppings such as white chocolate flakes and strawberry curls. … you should have plenty to take home, assuming you don’t eat them all at the workshop.

Availability
Courses run on most Sundays and occasional Saturdays in London and Saturdays only in Brighton and Manchester. Start times vary depending on the date but typically there are courses running in the morning, afternoon and early evening.
What should I wear?
Anything you are comfortable in and won’t mind getting grubby, an apron will be supplied.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
