Established by the Monks of Citeaux, the 50 hectare walled vineyard's soil has a large clay content, creating powerful, well-structured wines. This wine is 100% Pinot Noir on a 1.28 hectare plot. Throughout the alcoholic fermentation, pipeage was done twice a day. In total the wine was aged for 22 months in oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:

Precise but complex, this ruby red wine has notes of tobacco, licorice and roasting which opens up to aromas of ripe and fresh black fruit. On the palate, well balanced with ripe and fresh fruit, with a refreshingly tangy touch. Fine and spicy tannins and a refined finish.
