Sylvain & Béatrice Bzikot own an impressive estate of 15 hectares centred on Puligny-Montrachet. Sylvain's grandfather arrived in Burgundy from Poland just before the Second World War and steadily built up the domaine in the post-war years when land was plentiful. In 2023, Sylvain harvested from 3rd to 10th September and has made an impressive range of rich, harmonious wines that show both depth and finesse.
Made from several parcels in different sectors of the appellation including a substantial plot of 60+ year old vines in the climate of Reuchaux. Vinified with 25% in stainless steel vats, 25% in new oak barrels, 25% in 1-year-old barrels and 25% in 2-year-old barrels.
Tasting Notes
This wine contains ripe, rich fruit on both the nose and palate, with fine depth and excellent minerality. There are notes of nectarine, peach and honeysuckle with a citrus zest and creamy, buttery palate.
Pairing Notes
Pairs well with grilled fish, roast chicken and mushroom and cheese dishes.
