Vieux Chateau Certan Pomerol 2019, 6 x 75cl

The Vieux Château Certan estate is located in the heart of the Pomerol plateau and is one of Pomerols oldest and most exalted estates, having produced wine since at least the mid 1740s. The Vieux Château vineyard is one single block covering 14 hectares and is the fruit of a century of painstaking work and careful decision-making. It is regularly ranked by the world's press and international tasting panels among the very top wines.

Tasting Notes: 

“The tannins are firm and strict, keeping the dark fruits carefully in line. Tons of liquorice and slate, with a beautifully fragrant edge of violets, peonies, smoke. It has the kind of austerity that makes you happy to be patient, hiding layers and layers of nuance, with the sleight of hand between density and lightness, so it rises and falls, breathing through your palate, stretching its limbs.
