The Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru, 'Champ Gain' has a deep golden colour with an elegant pear & honey aroma.

The central part of the Côte de Beaune comprises an area predestined to produce great wines and Puligny Montrachet is, without doubt, one of its most glorious examples. The vineyards are centred around Puligny and a part of the Blagny hamlet, on a gentle, astfacing slope. The clay and chalk soil, which is very stony, drains well and warms through easily.

Grapes are harvested by hand and put in small cases in order to protect the fruits from damage. The grapes are pressed softly and are fermented, then aged in oak barrels for 15 months before bottling. The wines are lean and elegant with an acidic balance that makes this wine extremely moreish.
