The cattle used for these steaks spend their days in the North Yorkshire Moors, grazing as they please and enjoying the fresh air.
Taste Tradition's rare and traditional breed cattle are reared using old-fashioned methods which allow the flavour to grow into the meat. These breeds carry additional fat which helps to infuse moisture and offer a distinctive flavour into the meat whilst it cooks.
These steaks are taken from the chuck, which is in the cow's shoulder. Whilst not as tender as some of the more well-known steak cuts they have a lot of flavour which is why they are becoming one of the more popular steaks available today.
