Domaine Sylvain Cathiard et Fils, Nuits St Georges wines are opulent, but tight and finely constructed. They are built to last and should really be kept for a minimum of five years. The estate now operates on biodynamic principles for all wines, leaving them all in the barrel over two winters.

The vineyard ‘Aux Thorey’ sits at a higher location overlooking Nuits St Georges, and as a result influences the tighter, more mineral flavours of the wine. The vines were planted by Sébastien’s father and grandfather. It is one of two Premier Cru wines they make from this appellation, and always has a remarkable perfume of fruit, spice and oak. The 2017 vintage shows already a lovely promise, but will further develop over the coming years.
