Smart EV charging for the modern home
The ESS A Series 7.3 kW Smart EV Charger provides convenient, intelligent home charging in a compact and modern wall-mounted unit. Finished in white and supplied as an untethered charger, the A Series allows you to use your own compatible Type 2 charging cable, keeping the installation neat when the charger is not in use.
Designed for standard UK single-phase supplies, the charger delivers up to 7.3 kW charging power with a rated output current of 32 A.
Charge when it suits you
Scheduled charging allows you to choose when your vehicle charges. This makes it easier to plan charging around your normal routine and, where applicable, make use of off-peak or time-of-use electricity tariffs. Charging can be managed through the app, giving you access to charging controls and charging records from a compatible smartphone.
Make better use of your solar generation
For homes with a compatible solar PV system and suitable system configuration, the Fox ESS A Series can direct available surplus solar generation towards EV charging.
Rather than automatically exporting all unused solar generation to the grid, available surplus energy can be used to help charge your electric vehicle.
The manufacturer specifically lists renewable energy compatibility and direct use of surplus solar power for EV charging as A Series features.
Dynamic load balancing
The A Series supports dynamic load balancing, helping manage EV charging alongside the electrical demand from the rest of the property.
When correctly configured as part of the installation, charging demand can be managed in response to household electrical load, helping keep the total demand within the configured limits of the property's electricity supply.
