Sebastiani Bourbon Barrel Aged Red Wine comes from premiere growing regions along the North Coast of California. The majority of the fruit comes from volcanic, rocky soils and dramatic mountainside vineyards which provide intense structure and concentration.

The 2019 growing season started later than usual in many California wine regions. A wet spring followed by cool temperatures allowed the grapes to mature gradually. Cool temperatures continued throughout the growing season resulting in longer hang time and lower sugar yields.

Tasting Notes:

Inky purple in colour, with dark aromas of cherry cola, caramel, bergamot and fennel. On the palate lush flavours of ripe black cherry with hints of baked apple, spiced nutmeg and cocoa powder. A smooth finish with lingering notes of candied walnuts and toasted oak.

Pairing Suggestions:

Pairs well with beef, lamb, and poultry dishes.
