With over 180 years of winemaking heritage dating back to 1844, the Penfolds family is a well-established name in the Barossa Valley. Dedicated to bringing Australia and the world some of the best wine the region has to offer.
The Penfolds Max’s range is a modern tribute to former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert, securing its place as a contemporary classic known for its polished structure and vibrant fruit-led style.
Tasting Notes:
Lifted notes of blackcurrant and dried herbs on the nose with a touch of cedar and vanilla oak. Plump red berries and dusty cocoa nuances on the palate with firm, refined tannins on a persistent, elegant finish.
Pairing Notes:
Pairs well with rosemary-rubbed lamb chops as well as slow-cooked beef brisket or hard, aged cheeses like Manchego.
