Domaine Charles Audoin Marsannay ''Cuvée Marie Ragonneau'' is primarily sourced from dedicated parcels of old vines located within the Marsannay appellation in the northern Côte de Nuits. This cuvée is named after the winemaker Cyril Audoin's great-grandmother and represents a blend of several high-quality climates. This vintage is a blend of 100% Pinot Noir. The estate is managed with sustainable and organic practices (HVE3 and Ecocert), and this cuvée is crafted with the same meticulous attention to terroir as the domaine's single-vineyard wines. It was aged in French oak barrels (approximately 20–30% new) to preserve its fresh, vibrant fruit character.
Tasting Notes:
''Rippling with sour-cherry and red-berry aromas, this beautiful pinot noir has excellent depth. A floral nose of berries, roses, and lavender leads to a palate full of ripe black cherry and licorice. Juicy medium tannins and a quenching finish really show off the terroir. The 2021/2022 is shaping up to be a jewel of a Marsannay, offering both richness and structure that punch well above its village weight.'' Score: 92 — James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, June 2025
Serving Suggestions:
Pairs best with robust dishes such as roasted duck, lamb stew, mushroom risotto, or a mature Epoisses cheese.
