Established in Greve in Chianti in 1967 by the Sacchet and Zaccheo families, Carpineto is an award-winning winery dedicated to producing world-class Tuscan wines through sustainable and carbon-neutral farming. Dogajolo, often described as an innovative ''baby Super-Tuscan,'' was first created in 1993 to bridge the gap between the freshness of a young wine and the complexity of oak aging. This 2021 vintage is crafted from site-selected vineyards in the heart of Tuscany, blending traditional Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon to deliver a modern expression of the region's historic terroir.

Tasting Notes

A rich ruby red with purple reflections. The nose reveals an intense bouquet of ripe cherry and redcurrant interlaced with elegant hints of vanilla, coffee, and aromatic spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet soft, offering a layered mouthfeel with well-integrated tannins, harmonious acidity, and a long, savoury finish.

Pairing Notes

Pairs well with roasts, grilled meats, cold cuts, and traditional Tuscan specialties like rich pasta with meat ragu.
