From the vineyard of Château Saintayme stands 9 hectares of almost 100% Merlot vines at an age of almost 35 years. To create the classic Bordeaux style, Denis Durantou picks these grapes fresh - not overripe - from cooler limestone and clay soils.

Tasting Notes:

“Blue fruits, earth, tobacco, as it opens you get rosebud, heather and raspberry leaf, with an austere crushed stone edge.
