Located on a high gravel ridge known as the "Grand Puy" in the heart of Pauillac, Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is a celebrated Fifth Growth that consistently outperforms its classification. Managed with meticulous care by the Borie family since 1978, the estate is revered for its "classic" Pauillac style—emphasising elegance, longevity, and a distinct graphite-mineral edge. The 2022 vintage showcases the incredible resilience of its deep gravel terroir, which allowed the Cabernet Sauvignon to reach peak maturity while maintaining its signature freshness.

Tasting Notes:

The 2022 Grand-Puy-Lacoste has an aromatic profile of cedar wood and dark chocolate, layered with subtle hints of violets and forest floor. On the palate, it is full-bodied and impeccably balanced, featuring a rich, velvety texture and a robust structure of ripe, chalky tannins.

Serving Suggestions:

Perfect match for classic meat dishes such as roasted lamb with garlic and rosemary, prime rib of beef, or game birds. It also complements earthy dishes like wild mushroom risotto and aged hard cheeses such as Mimolette.
