Sharing the same technical team and prestigious terroir as the Grand Vin, it offers a unique expression of the estate's elegance but with a higher proportion of Merlot, lending it a more approachable personality in its youth. The 2022 vintage highlights the exceptional power of the season, balanced by the limestone-infused subsoils that preserved the wine's legendary finesse and aromatic complexity.

Tasting Notes

The 2022 Carruades de Lafite opens with an alluring bouquet of blackcurrant, graphite, and tobacco leaf, intertwined with delicate floral notes of red rose and spice. On the palate, it is medium-to-full-bodied and remarkably precise, displaying a silky, fluid texture supported by fine-grained tannins and a vibrant acidity that leads to a long, savoury finish.

Serving Suggestions
