One of Napa Valley's American Viticultural Area's (AVA), Rutherford Hill produces rich and full-flavoured wines, most notably Merlots, that reflect the world class terrior of the Napa region in the USA. Nestled high on a hill, Rutherford Hill Winery commands a spectacular view overlooking the Rutherford bench of Napa Valley, following the ethos that the climate and soil of the valley, similar to Pomerol, is well suited to Merlot and are among the first to pioneer what has become Napa's premier varietal.

Rutherford Hill Napa Valley Merlot 2019 is soft and luxurious with supple and refined Merlot grapes blended with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. The grapes are aged for 15 months in new French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:

There are aromas of blackberry and cherry with flavours of ripe plum fruit, cocoa and caramel. This wine is full-bodied with velvety tannins and an elegant oak balance.
