Château Tanuda was established in 1890 and was the site of some of the first vines in the area. It is credited as the birthplace of the Barossa. Found within Australia’s most famous wine region the beautiful bluestone winery and vineyard is a prevailing testament to the rich Australian wine producing heritage.
With 130 years of winemaking history Château Tanuda is the only internationally recognised Château in Australia and is rated amongst the top wine producers in the country.
Tasting Notes:
Black fruit and plums on the nose with a touch of spice followed by dark berries and spiciness on the palate with a robust and lingering finish.
Pairing Notes:
Pairs well with rich red meats and venison as well as game birds in a rich sauce.
