Hidalgo La Gitana is one of the most iconic and well-known Manzanilla Sherries from the famous Bodega Hidalgo in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, a town located on the southern coast of Spain, near the mouth of the Guadalquivir River. This wine is a Manzanilla, which is a specific type of Fino Sherry, but with a unique twist due to the coastal location of Sanlúcar, which imparts a distinct saline quality to the wine.

Tasting Notes:

Aromas are elegant and delicate, dominated by the typical yeasty, bready notes of flour. Additional notes of green apples, almonds, hazelnuts, and citrus zest add a layer of complexity. It is light-bodied, refreshing, with a crisp palate and tangy finish that gently lingers.

Serving Suggestions:

Pairs well with seafood, charcuterie and vegetable dishes.
