Chateau Taillefer is located on the plateau of Pomerol and has vineyards with a surface area of 12 hectares. With an average vine age of 35 years old, the vineyard contains 85% Merlot vines and 15% Cabernet Franc, grown on a soil of silica and gravel on a clay base rich in iron deposits. This wine is a blend of 91% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc. It experienced 12 months of ageing in French oak barrels 40% new.

Tasting Notes:

“Sporting a deep purple-black colour, the 2020 Taillefer leaps from the glass with exuberant notes of black cherry preserves, boysenberries and prunes, plus wafts of camphor, cardamom and espresso with a touch of bouquet garni.
