Primarily designed for the marine environment, the Bresser Topas 7 x 50mm binoculars are equally at home when observing wildlife or watching sporting events. Rubber armoured, they are designed to withstand knocks and bumps and are completely waterproof, making them ideal for all conditions.
Water sport lovers will appreciate the built-in illuminated compass and reticle, which allows the user to measure distance and direction with a good degree of accuracy. There’s a flotation strap which keeps them safe in the event of an unexpected dip in the sea and even the lens caps are fixed to the neck-strap to avoid being lost. If dropped from a moving vessel, even when floating, the binoculars may become difficult to spot, especially if conditions are rough. With this in mind, there is a further ‘High-vis’ flotation balloon which can be used to make retrieval a lot easier.
Despite their rugged performance capability, the Topas 7 x 50mm binocular offers the renowned Barium-Crown glass (BaK-4) and are multi-coated for reducing reflections and increasing light transmission. The 50mm objective lenses, combined with 7 x magnification mean the Topas has exceptionally good light gathering characteristics and can be used in all but the darkest conditions – perfect when watching wildlife. The seven-times magnification is ideal for prolonged observations without the need for a tripod. For seafarers, the magnification is very practical, even if the user is on a moving vessel.
Individual eye adjustment makes viewing easier and more comfortable and for spectacle wearers, the rubber eyecups can be folded down for better eye-relief making the Bresser Topas a versatile and practical binocular.
