Generate, store and use electricity at home

This package combines TCL Solar C2 Black 485W solar panels with a Tesla Powerwall 3 13.5kWh battery system. The panels generate electricity from daylight for use within the property. Electricity not required immediately can be stored for later use, helping the household use more of the electricity generated by the solar array.

The amount generated, stored and used depends on the array size, property, weather, household consumption, electricity tariff, system settings and other site-specific factors.
 

Choose your system size

The final number and position of the panels are subject to technical survey, available roof space, roof condition, shading, electrical suitability and any applicable planning or grid-connection requirements.

TCL Solar C2 Black 485W solar panels

The system uses TCL Solar C2 Black 485W high-efficiency solar panels, designed for residential installations. Featuring advanced gapless back-contact technology and a sleek black appearance, these panels combine high power output with an elegant, modern design.

The innovative back-contact construction is designed to minimise electrical resistance losses, while the busbar-free front and gapless cell arrangement create a clean, uniform appearance. The framed dual-glass construction is designed for long-term reliability and durability.

Tesla Powerwall 3 13.5kWh battery system

Tesla Powerwall 3 combines battery storage and a solar inverter within the Powerwall 3 unit. No separate inverter is supplied as an additional package component.

The unit measures 1,105 × 609 × 193mm and weighs 130kg. Additional compatible units are subject to technical design and are not included in the selected package price.
 

Integrated inverter and charger

Powerwall 3 includes an integrated solar inverter. The appropriate output configuration and solar connections will be selected according to the panel quantity, property electrical supply, Distribution Network Operator requirements and approved design.
 

Tesla app monitoring

The Tesla app allows customers to view compatible information including solar generation, battery charge level, household electricity use, grid import and export, and system energy flow. A suitable internet connection and compatible mobile device are required.
 

Solar-panel mounting and bird protection

The package includes a specialist roof-mounting system selected for the property and bird mesh fitted as standard around the completed solar-panel array. The exact mounting equipment and panel layout will be confirmed following the technical survey.
 

Benefits

Use more solar electricity at home. Surplus electricity generated during the day can be stored in the Tesla Powerwall 3 13.5kWh battery system for use later.
 

Charge from the grid when appropriate. Subject to the customer's tariff and system settings, the battery may be configured to charge during lower-cost periods.
 

Monitor the system. Compatible generation, battery and energy-flow information can be viewed using the Tesla app.
 

Reduce grid reliance. Using electricity generated and stored at the property can reduce the amount purchased from the grid. Actual savings depend on generation, consumption, tariff and system settings.

Standard installation

• Solar panels fitted across a maximum of two roof elevations
• Scaffolding for a maximum of one elevation and a maximum scaffold height of two storeys

• Standard cable routes, electrical protection, isolators and commissioning

Additional costs may apply where the technical survey identifies non-standard scaffolding, roofing work, electrical upgrades, extended cable routes, difficult access or other work outside the standard installation. Any additional cost will be explained and agreed before installation proceeds.
 

Ordering and installation process

1. Select the package: Choose the required panel option using the Solar Panel Configurator and the Costco product dropdown.
2. Initial contact: Fresh Solar will confirm the installation address and request relevant information, including a recent electricity bill.
3. Technical assessment: Fresh Solar will assess the roof, electrical installation and proposed Tesla Powerwall 3 13.5kWh battery system location. An on-site survey will be arranged where required.
4. Bespoke system design: The design team will prepare the proposed panel layout, equipment selection and electrical specification.
5. Confirm suitability: Fresh Solar will confirm whether the selected package is suitable and explain any required change or additional cost before the customer proceeds.
6. Grid-connection application: Where required, Fresh Solar will apply to the relevant Distribution Network Operator. Network approval times may affect the installation date.
7. Installation and commissioning: The equipment will be installed, connected, configured, commissioned and tested.
8. Customer handover: Fresh Solar will provide the relevant manuals, warranty information, operating guidance and certification following completion.
    

Important information

• This package includes one Tesla Powerwall 3 13.5kWh battery system. Additional compatible batteries or expansion units are not included unless separately purchased and approved as part of the system design.
• The final solar-panel layout and complete system design are subject to technical survey.
• Battery charging and discharging depend on system settings, state of charge, household demand and available generation.
• Generation, storage performance and financial savings cannot be guaranteed.
• Product images are illustrative. The relevant house images show the selected panel quantity but do not determine the final layout for an individual property.
• Wi-Fi and a compatible device are required for online monitoring.
• Manufacturer warranties are subject to their applicable terms, conditions, registration and connectivity requirements.
• Power-cut backup is not included unless the final specification expressly includes the required Tesla backup equipment. Tesla Backup Gateway 2 is required for a backup configuration.

ORDERING PROCESS

1) Order your solar panel system based on the recommended package size for your building generated by the Solar Panel Configurator

2) You will be contacted by Fresh Solar to confirm your property address, request a copy of a recent energy bill

3) We will carry out a technical survey remotely and if required we will send a qualified surveyor to attend your property within 10 business days upon receiving the above information.

4) Once the survey is completed, the information will be passed to our design team who will create a bespoke solar PV design for your property within 10 days of completion of the technical survey. Any additional costs will be discussed and agreed at this stage

5) If a revision to the order is required Fresh Solar will advise on which system would be best suited to your property to order. You have the option to cancel your order or re-order the correct solar package

6) Once the correct size system and design are confirmed alongside any additional costs (if required), an installation date will be booked within 30 business days upon acceptance of the design. If the system is above 3.68kW an application will be made to the relevant Distribution Network Operator for connection. Please note; in some instances this can take up to 60 business days and will therefore delay installation until acceptance has been received

7) Where necessary scaffolding will be erected prior to the installation

8) Installation of the panel mounting system and panels will be completed, the inverter and battery (if applicable) will be installed by MCS qualified electricians, the system will be commissioned and tested by the electrical team once installation is complete

9) A handover pack will be prepared and issued within 14 business days of commissioning

The contract will only be concluded after the survey has been completed and the member confirms they wish to proceed by signing the contract with Fresh Electrical. The contract for supply and installation of the solar panels is with Fresh Electrical, not Costco. Costco will take the payment from the member and the full funds will be held in a ‘ring-fenced’ account until a job completion form is signed by the member. Costco will only receive a commission paid by Fresh Electrical Solar. Fresh Electrical is a trading style of Fresh Electrical Solutions LTD.
