What happens on the day?

Your ticket for The View from The Shard must be pre-booked so you can arrive and make your way to the attraction, shortening time spent in queues. You can enjoy the experience at your leisure with no time restriction on your visit meaning you can take as long as you like to soak up the breath-taking views. You’ll take the elevator up to the indoor viewing platform on Level 69 and if you’re feeling brave, up to level 72 for a spectacular open-air platform.

As part of this experience, you’ll also enjoy a pre-booked three-course meal for lunch or dinner at Marco Pierre White’s London Steakhouse Co. On arrival, you’ll be greeted with a refreshing cocktail each before choosing three courses from a set lunch or dinner menu.

Side orders are not included with your main and are available at an extra charge. Typical sides might be French Fries, Creamed Potatoes, Crispy Onion Rings or Seasonal Green Vegetables and start at £5.25. Tea and coffee are also available at an extra charge.
Please note: a discretionary service charge of 12.5% will be added to your bill.

Please Note: The London Steakhouse restaurant is not located within The Shard. Please ensure you leave 15-20 minutes to travel between venues.

Availability

The View from The Shard can be booked on selected dates throughout the year.Please note that The Shard is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

To reduce queues and ensure the best possible visitor experience for everyone, admission to The View will only be valid on the date and time stated on your ticket once a booking has been made with Virgin Experience Days Ltd.
Tickets for The View are non-transferable and non-refundable
A standard visit to The Shard lasts approximately 1 hour, allowing ample time for you to relax and enjoy the city skyline at your leisure as there is no time restriction on your visit.

Three-Course Meal at Marco Pierre White's London Steakhouse Co.

Your meal is available seven days a week.
Please note that for Friday and Saturday evening bookings reservations can only be made within 48 hours prior to the experience (availability for dinner on Friday and Saturday is released at 09.00 on Wednesday and Thursday respectively of that week). If you choose to book a Friday or Saturday evening, outside of the 48-hour booking window as advised above, then the voucher will be used against the normal priced a la carte menu and the value taken off your final bill.  You will not be able to have the three-course set menu and cocktail. Some date restrictions, including Valentine’s Day and over the Christmas and New Year period may apply.

Please allow approximately 1 hour 45 minutes for your meal.

Please note there is a 48-hour cancellation policy that applies to all meal reservations, after which time you won't be able to amend or cancel a reservation.

Should you prefer to dine from the a la carte menu, £49 will be deducted from your bill.

What about the weather?

The View from The Shard
Level 72 is open to the elements and so the weather could affect your visit to this level. Adverse weather conditions may also affect your view from the Shard.

What should I wear?

The View from the Shard
There is no specific dress code required to visit The View from The Shard, but you are advised to dress appropriate for the time of year. Remember, as well as the indoor viewing platform, there is an open-air Skydeck on level 72.

Smart casual. As a guide, jeans are fine, but no sportswear, please.
 

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
