Virgin Experience Days Visit to Bletchley Park And Afternoon Tea for Two

Take a trip to Bletchley Park for an insight into the top-secret home of the WWII Codebreakers and enjoy a delicious afternoon tea together. See where some of the smartest minds around like Alan Turing and Bill Tutte helped turn the tide of war and discover the extraordinary achievements of the men and women who worked at Bletchley Park.

Highlights of a visit include the restored codebreaking huts, with their interiors faithfully recreated and hands-on displays in the blocks where the masterminds from the Government Code & Cypher School cracked enemy codes. Explore the beautiful grounds and historic buildings with an interactive multimedia guide and enjoy the atmospheric soundscapes, galleries, and exhibitions.

Your afternoon tea will be served in the Mansion Tea Room, with light finger sandwiches, dainty cakes and cream scones alongside tea or coffee for some traditional British refreshment.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at Bletchley Park you’ll begin in the Visitor Centre, handing over your tickets at Admissions and then on to the introductory exhibition before heading out to explore the park at your leisure.
There are several huts open to the public as well as the Mansion, the Museum in Block B with examples of Enigma machines, a Lorenz machine and a rebuild of the Bombe machine, a 1 hour guided tour and on-site exhibitions are all included as part of your experience.
Between 12.00 and 15.30 you can enjoy an afternoon tea in the Mansion Tea Room, served with your choice of tea or coffee.

This experience is available on selected Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays throughout the year. Exclusions will apply.

Due to high demand, we recommend you book at least 12 weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

What to wear

A visit to Bletchley Park involves both indoor and outdoor activities, outdoor clothing and footwear is recommended to get the most out of your visit. Any heel which covers an area smaller than a postage stamp can cause irreparable damage to floors and carpets, sharp-heeled shoes therefore are not permitted.

Insurance

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
