Generate, store and use electricity at home

This package combines a SunPower solar PV system with Fox ESS EP6 5.76kWh battery. The panels generate electricity from daylight for use within the property. Electricity not required immediately can be stored for later use, helping the household use more of the electricity generated by the solar array.

The amount generated, stored and used depends on the array size, property, weather, household consumption, electricity tariff, system settings and other site-specific factors.
 

Choose your system size

The final number and position of the panels are subject to technical survey, available roof space, roof condition, shading, electrical suitability and any applicable planning or grid-connection requirements.
 

System components

SunPower M Class 495W solar panels

The system uses SunPower M Class 495W solar panels designed for residential solar installations.

Fox ESS EP6 5.76kWh battery

The Fox ESS EP6 is a high-voltage lithium iron phosphate battery intended to add storage capacity to a compatible existing Fox ESS system. It is an additional battery only and does not include an inverter.

• 90% depth of discharge, providing approximately 5.18kWh at the specified depth of discharge
• Lithium iron phosphate battery chemistry
• At least 95% battery-pack round-trip efficiency
• Smart battery warming and built-in fire suppression
• IP65 protection; suitable for indoor or outdoor installation
• Floor or wall mounting
• Minimum specified cycle life of 6,000 cycles under the datasheet test conditions
• Expandable to a maximum of four EP6 batteries in parallel

A four-battery EP6 system provides up to 23.04kWh nominal storage. This listing includes one EP6 battery; additional units are subject to compatibility and technical design.
 

Fox inverter

A Fox inverter manages electricity generated by the solar panels and, where applicable, charging and discharging of the battery. The suitable model and output will be selected during the system design. Compatible monitoring is available through FoxCloud.
 

Solar-panel mounting and bird protection

The package includes a specialist roof-mounting system selected for the property and bird mesh fitted as standard around the completed solar-panel array. The exact mounting equipment and panel layout will be confirmed following the technical survey.
 

Benefits

Use more solar electricity at home. Surplus electricity generated during the day can be stored in the Fox ESS EP6 5.76kWh battery for use later.

Charge from the grid when appropriate. Subject to the customer’s tariff and system settings, the battery may be configured to charge during lower-cost periods.

Monitor the system. Compatible generation, battery and energy-flow information can be viewed using FoxCloud.

Reduce grid reliance. Using electricity generated and stored at the property can reduce the amount purchased from the grid. Actual savings depend on generation, consumption, tariff and system settings.

Standard installation

• Solar panels fitted across a maximum of two roof elevations
• Scaffolding for a maximum of one elevation and a maximum scaffold height of two storeys
• Bird mesh fitted as standard around the solar-panel array
• Fox ESS EP6 5.76kWh battery installed in a suitable location
• Standard cable routes, electrical protection, isolators and commissioning
• Suitable access to the roof, electrical supply and installation locations
• Access to the property’s Wi-Fi network where required for monitoring

Additional costs may apply where the technical survey identifies non-standard scaffolding, roofing work, electrical upgrades, extended cable routes, difficult access or other work outside the standard installation. Any additional cost will be explained and agreed before installation proceeds.
 

Ordering and installation process

1. Select the package: Choose the required panel option using the Solar Panel Configurator and the Costco product dropdown.
2. Initial contact: Fresh Solar will confirm the installation address and request relevant information, including a recent electricity bill.
3. Technical assessment: Fresh Solar will assess the roof, electrical installation and proposed Fox ESS EP6 5.76kWh battery location. An on-site survey will be arranged where required.
4. Bespoke system design: The design team will prepare the proposed panel layout, equipment selection and electrical specification.
5. Confirm suitability: Fresh Solar will confirm whether the selected package is suitable and explain any required change or additional cost before the customer proceeds.
6. Grid-connection application: Where required, Fresh Solar will apply to the relevant Distribution Network Operator. Network approval times may affect the installation date.
7. Installation and commissioning: The equipment will be installed, connected, configured, commissioned and tested.
8. Customer handover: Fresh Solar will provide the relevant manuals, warranty information, operating guidance and certification following completion.
    

Important information

• This package includes one Fox ESS EP6 5.76kWh battery. Additional compatible batteries or expansion units are not included unless separately purchased and approved as part of the system design.
• The final solar-panel layout and complete system design are subject to technical survey.
• Battery charging and discharging depend on system settings, state of charge, household demand and available generation.
• Generation, storage performance and financial savings cannot be guaranteed.

• Wi-Fi and a compatible device are required for online monitoring.
