Rated 1 out of 5 by Mackster from Poor quality despite upgrading to so called 5MP! My first Swann kit (4MP) was just 20 months old (Cost nearly £1K), before the hard drive crashed. Not only could I not purchase a separate hard drive for it and keep the cameras, but I had to upgrade at extra cost. Swann do so many variants and many are not interchangeable, so you cannot mix cameras with upgrades, effectively making them redundant (despite them being the bulk of the kit cost). I went for what I thought was the top of the range, but the picture quality is even worse than the 4MP I had. At least you could get a full screen image with the 4MP, although as you would expect in the dark it would be `greyed', so you could still still movement in the full screen image. The new so called 4K are very poor, you get a round lit area inside the full screen where the cameras are pointing, but the rest is surrounded in darkness. I wish the 4MP was still in operation, as the upgrade although forced on me, is far inferior. The email facility to alert you of movement is a nonsense, it either fires off emails one after the other with seemingly no evidence of movement (probably an insect) or you get nothing at all. I have turned this off as it is irritating. Having seen a friends images on his a cheaper system, I wonder if Swann are just trading on what was a great name, but now lacking the quality provided by some cheaper systems. I would not purchase Swann again, when the system failed after 20 months, they shook their heads and said buy a new one, customer service was non-existent. Look elsewhere for quality and price, I wish I had now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Crammy from Very good quality I've had these set up a few weeks now. These are fantastic quality. As one of the other reviews had stated the night vision was actually shocking. It just projected a beam of white in the middle of screen. I contacted Swann and they called be back at an agreed time and ran through things with me. I had to update firmware on the box, and then they sent me an update for the actual cameras so obviously there was an issue. Once installed they set reset cameras to factory settings as I had played about with them to try and sort it. The difference was night and day. Outstanding quality

Rated 4 out of 5 by BAAs from Very good, BUT! Cameras are very good, quality is fantastic, BUT dont expect to recieve push notifications on an Android 9 device as Swann App is incompatible. Everything else works fine and the latest Apple phones work perfectly, so come on Swann get you Android app sorted then I can give you 5*

Rated 5 out of 5 by Eddison from Great Quality - Easy Set Up Easy to set up, the picture quality is very good, the POE makes it even easier to set up as no power supply needed. There is a good record selection for each camera, they can be set up seperate to either record constant or motion, play back and search easy to follow and pick up. The cameras limited zoom facility is an added bonus and good, albeit these cameras were only ever bought to monitor our car drive and rear garden, the limited zoom is a bonus.

Rated 3 out of 5 by n2r2 from Night Vision not great Smart cameras, NVR, PoE, 2TB - That's about it. None of the local installation companies were ready to install it. Found one - they did not use the cables that came with the camera as they didn't think they were water proof and had kinks in them. Used our own IP66 cables. Ended up paying extra for cables. Night vision is not great. I have tried changing settings but has not made much difference. The product is average.
