The Marsannay appellation is just to the north of Gevrey Chambertin and is one of the great secrets of the Côte de Nuits.
The wines of 2017 are glorious, with succulent, soft and ripe fruity charecteristics. This vineyard – Clos du Roy – is to the north of the village where the light soils make perfect wines for early drinking.
The nose is expressive, with sweet fruit notes. The palate is supple and round, and the overall impression is of a delicious, succulent mouthful.
