The first impression on the nose is extremely attractive and fruity, with pineapple, white peach, dried apricot, and fruit paste aromas. The bouquet goes on to reveal hints of almonds, dragées, and plum tart, with the lusciousness typical of the greatest Sémillons. The wine is incredibly round on the palate. Immediately pleasurable, it is also well-balanced, tasty, and long thanks to excellent underlying acidity. Make no mistake, this vintage of Yquem, is extremely pure and classical, and will become one of the estate's benchmarks.
