Murcia al Vino is a goat's milk cheese from the province of Murcia in South East Spain. It has a P.D.O status which ensures the milk is taken from registered herds of Murcian goats. During maturation the product is washed with red wine which creates its stunning purplish red casing. This semi hard cheese, similar to Manchego, has a creamy, buttery slightly salty taste and a mild aroma.
When sliced it is perfect as a snack with fruit, quince jam or nuts. Enjoy with a glass of cold beer or a full bodied red wine.
