Ford Farm’s Vintage West Country Farmhouse Cheddar is a made from pure and rich West Country milk sourced from local grazing herds that benefit from the plentiful and lush pastures of the surrounding countryside. It has also been awarded the prestigious Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status. Although Cheddar cheese is made all over the world, when it comes to great Farmhouse Cheddar, there is no substitute for the real thing.
The cheese is made by hand in the Ford Farm dairy to traditional methods and a tried and trusted recipe that dates back many centuries. Once pressed into blocks, the cheese is left to mature for up to twelve months until it achieves an unrivalled complexity and depth of flavour.
Creamy and smooth in texture but deliciously savoury, rich and mature. Best enjoyed with a medium/dry Somerset Cider.
