This Grand Cru is produced mid-way up the famed Corton appelation, stretching across a prominent hill just north of Beaune where the vineyard covers 236 acres. The terroirs contain clay-limestone soils which are rich in iron and potassium, producing Pinot Noir grapes which are manually destemmed and alcoholic fermentation occurs between 25 and 34º C in a concrete tank for 10 to 15 days. There is daily crushing until the end of alcoholic fermentation. There is a finely grained texture and full body, with ripe red berries dominating the palate (cherries, strawberries, raspberries). The balance in the mouth is perfect between the tannins and the acidity.
