Mouton Cadet Rouge 2018, 6 x 75cl

The Mouton Cadet Rouge is an intense purple with a slightly carmine tint. On the nose it opens with an explosion of aromas, especially wild strawberry, burlat cherry, bilberry and blackcurrant. The fruit remains very present after airing, enhanced by additional soft spice notes. The fruit on the nose emerges rapidly on the supple and well-balanced attack, supported by silky, deep and dense tannins which give structure to the midpalate. The finish is remarkable, and its rich fruit flavours, enhanced by a touch of sweetness, completes the wine in a most attractive way.

Mouton Cadet Rouge is made from a blend of classic grape varieties: Merlot (84%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Cabernet Franc (6%). Merlot brings roundness and ripe red fruit flavours, Cabernet Sauvignon, the tannic structure and touches of black berry fruit, and Cabernet Franc, elegance and freshness.
