The Kidde Kitchen Combi Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm provides ongoing detection of the dangers of both CO (Carbon Monoxide) and smoke, in a single alarm. Its sensors interact to distinguish between cooking fumes/ steam, and smoke from a real fire.

Unlike most smoke alarms, this alarm can be placed in a kitchen. It is an optical smoke alarm, ideal for detecting slow-smouldering fires, which most domestic fires are.

The test and reset button means that regular testing of the product can be carried out, ideally weekly. There is even an end-of-life alarm to alert you that it has reached the end of its 10-year period of protection. This alarm also has a bug screen, which considerably reduces the alarms caused by insects crawling into the inners of the alarm.
