Planted by the monks of citeaux as early as 1098, the vines have access to excellent soil. Consisting of jurassic marls and marly-limestones, there are some patches of magnesian limestone. This wine underwent total fermentation in oak barrels (30% new casks), Maturation during 12-14 months in the cellar for ageing, stored In Barrels

Tasting Notes:

Aromas of ripe grapes and toasted nuts on the nose with floral and mineral notes. The mouth is rich and fat with touches of hazelnuts. With a silky balance the wine is long and structured.

Serving Suggestions:

Best served between 12 - 14℃.

Pairs well with fish, veal, or poultry dishes, as well as grilled seafood or blue cheese.

This wine has the potential to age for 6-12 years.
